Sokukoji Buddhist Community

Welcome to the SokukoJi Buddhist Community!

We are a Soto Zen Temple located at 33 Anderson Court, Battle Creek, Michigan, lead by Sokuzan Robert Brown. While separate, we are connected to and guided by our sister temple, Jikoji Temple, in Los Gatos, California, lead by Shoho Michael Newhall.

We also host and support the Shambhala Meditation Group of Bellevue, Michigan, an affiliate of Shambhala International. (See Classes/Events for details.)

Because we are non-denominational, we welcome anyone, regardless of background or experience, who wishes to learn more about who they really are and how they fit in reality.
